I just had to blog about this. Afterall, one of the main purposes of a blog is to express ones feelings and innermost thoughts. Well here is one...
Today was one of those days that it really hit me that I am a homeowner. Sometimes it feels surreal. But on a day like today...it really hit home that I own a home and anything that happens in/to it is my responsibility. What prompted this revelation...
Incident #1 - I discovered a wasp and the beginnings of a wasp's nest in the pane of my patio door. HOK (Homeowner Krystle) to the rescue. I knocked it down with the quickness. We do not play those type of games. Not around here...moving along.
Incident #2 - Mommy and I made some fab purchases today from Homegoods and Kirklands (post forthcoming) and were very excited to put some items in place. So, we decided to move the desk we stained (a post is forthcoming on this as well) from its temporary work area to its permanent home. Well, in our excitement we didn't realize that the bottom of the legs had wet (black) stain on them. Soooooo we dripped stain across my hardwood floors and up my carpeted steps. It wasn't until we set the table down in its intended spot and realized that in doing that we made four black stains on the carpet. Sigh...so now carpet cleaning is on my to-do list. Oh the joy.
